It’s about time we got our long overdue website up and running, which is still a work in progress..  For those of you that are new and wondering what exactly a Citi Field Shea (C.F.S.) is exactly, let me take this time to introduce ourselves to the world. 

      We have been following the Mets now as long as I can remember from our young days of cutting high school to attend matches since around 1998. We have not missed an opening day since then, which makes our fan supporters group about 11 years old.  We are a group of die hard Met fans who have seen many of the ups and downs throughout the past years.  Don’t get us wrong, we have many members of our group who have been fortunate enough to experience the 1969 and 1986 championships, but most of us were just too young to really experience what it means to watch the team you love win a championship. 

    Are you a “die hard?”  Don’t assume by “die-hards” we are a group of thugs or hoodlums, but rather we take from the term “ultra”, such as the ultra passionate Euro soccer fans all across the world, and we are trying to create an amazing atmosphere with music, songs, chants, and  fun celebrations throughout the course of the season. Our section resembles that of a wild “soccer” like atmosphere, yet we understand that this is still a baseball game!! Since the new stadium has been erected we have sat in the “Dirty 530” and then brought our brew crew to section 522.  Last year we sat in the section 516!!  We were KEEPIN IT CLEAN in section 513 for the 2012 season and are back for the upcoming 2013 season this is where we look forward to enjoying our 15 game package that we created.  We have had many memorable experiences together from the tailgates, to being at some truly amazing games the CAMARADERIE is sick...  Unfortunately, being a pessiMET like many of us in the group and Cliff Lee rejoining the Phillies for another 5 years, on paper it seems like some more dark clouds will be near.     

     Ultimately, we would like to have one section in Citi Field where we basically create this unbelievable atmosphere with noise, volume and of course the enjoyment of just watching a baseball game too.  Do not think for a second that we are not true baseball fans, its just that the game and the crowd has become lost as Shea was demolished.  By far we have the best tailgate at Citi Field already and our fan-hood is in a class of its own!  We just need a little luck and some pitchers too..and we are hoping the teams play will come around. We need to bring the life of the stands back into Citi Field and hopefully resurrect both the quality of play and the passion that is missing from the fans who are too busy walking around exploring Citi Field.
